Where's Noah - Round 2

Storms 2, Mick 0.

Last night we had a bigger storm than the night before.

Lightning struck the ground 500m away in the paddock next door and started a grass fire which we could see from the house. This strike also blew our power pole fuse and we had no power for seven hours until 1:40am this morning (I was on-hold to Powercor for 4 hours).

The same bolt also blew our ISDN NTU so we don't have phone/internet access, and even if we did I can't get on the Net as it also blew our PC power supply.

Lightning struck a paddock 500m to the south of us and set fire to a pile of hay bales causing the CFA to spend all night babysitting the smouldering remains.

In both cases they were largely put out by the torrential rain...and it rained for seven hours...

...and it's 38-40 odd today. Too hot to do anything. :?

 see Neka, that is the problem with the Queens English.......I though you were being fair-dinkum, and were asking if the waterproofs could weather the *tears* ( as in tear a piece of paper, or tear you a new arsehole), not *tear* as in *Tears for Fears* ( great album), or *Tears for Queers* ( as the case may be, refer tear you a new arsehole above..)

but of course I was wrong......you were just being normal.....

:D

Funny about that, the guys at work said the same thing. Bizarre weather...

I gather the storms didn't make it the Melbourne-side of Mt Macedon. It did shit-loads of damage up here, my PC's blown its motherboard/cpu and our phone is still out.

$880 for parts from Dell, lucky my insurance covers it 8).
