Obituaries

Please.........
I know motorcycling is dangerous from first hand experience, and while I sympathise with those who lose their lifes on the road....... I really do not want to keep reading about it on here, If it's a mate of yours or god forbid one of our own members then I would like to know but apart from that :?:

Now if I have upset anyone that was not my intention, just a statement that a few of us have made whilst we were together

I understand were Rossi and others are coming from on this one, however on the flip side there are those would like to be kept informed (in case it was someone they knew etc) and you dont have to read them if you dont want too.

Sorry to be blunt but then if thats the case we may aswell post all car accidents, drug overdoses & bashing etc just in case its someone that a forum memebr might possibly know.

Or if we are going to keep them have its own permanent topic???

As in the general section it gets a little full on being every 2nd or 3rd post

To put this in perspective, the last Obituary posted in the General section was back on the 06/01 hardly every second or third post? And as I posted earlier you dont have to read them!

agreed. It's just not needed, doesn't add anything to the board.

If it's someone you know, I'd hope you'd want to find out through a more sensitive medium.

sorry all,
I just thought everyone posts these and everyone gets the shits about it. I don't want to know about most of them either, its like posting car accidents, too many, and very depressing. I just though it may be a good reference point for people who do read them, while keeping them out of general view.

anyway........

With all due respect to people who have lost friends or family, I think Rossi is spot on. It does get a bit depressing, I know before Xmas it seemed like there was a post about a riders death in Qld like every week (because, unfortunately, there was  ).

However, I would think that, in the most unfortunate event that a member went to the big racetrack in the sky, there would be no question about posting it ........ :(
