Merry Christmas to you too.

When i had my ZX2R i used to run BP priemium. So any 95ron fuel should be OK, dont really need ultimate or 98ron until you get up to the 600cc+ bikes
I am proud i ride 2 YAMAHA`s

98 R1 -Blue(road)
00 R1-Red(track)

my old 250 loved standard. anything else and it would die after pulling into my drive way. It was ok pulling up at lights and stopping anywhere else.

Every time i tested this theory i was shocked. It might sound trippy but it happened.

preferably not deisel!!

seriously i dunno if a 250cc inline 4 needs premium..then again i run it in my bike, always have...so thats my suggestion...

preferably NOT Shell Opticrap (might as well be diesel)

they put so much crap in fuel these days that it goes off in no time so you gotta get it fresh. The premium fuels come from the branded refineries, so in SYD that means it's shipped from Perth or briso. The regular unleaded is bought from whatever refinery is in town. Up here in briso we have a BP/Ampol refinery so we get the true "ultimate" fresh out of the tower but in SYD you don't have a BP refinery and the BP tankers are seen to come out of the Shell refinery at Sandown - :o The consensus is Caltex 98 is the performance fuel to use in SYD
