Tis the season...

To be thankful I don't need to find a car park at shopping centres!

Garden City's little bike parking spot out the back of the cinemas is great. They were sending cars down to park next to the ATO this morning.

Do most of the bigger shops have an unofficial bike spot like that? I've only ever noticed it at Garbo... Seems like a damn good idea to me!

While I was walking around shopping centres in Gippsland this week, I noticed some bikes parked INSIDE the arcades.

How do you reckon the new jacket would go in a crash RG? Some of the mesh ones make me nervous - I can just see the mesh melting into skin (eek!).

Maybe I'm just paranoid...

Its got 5 piece armour = 2 elbow + 2 shoulder + 1 back.
I believe they are meant for city riding, not something u wanna wear on a track day.

At Garden City I always park mine on the traffic island right near the main entrance and undercover ... been doin it for years and no-ones ever complained. If they did I would quite gladly take up a full car spot with my bike

At Garden City we also usualy park in the unofficial bike parking spot near the ATM's & cinemas, but if that is full up at this time of year, you can usually get some good spots under stairs, in the same area, or in the second level at the two storey parking along the Logan Rd side (with the sunsails) where there are painted, but not raised, traffic islands.

Southland and Chadstone are two of our large centres here in Melbourne
and the ONLY way I visit them at this time of the year
('coz getting a carpark can take an hour  )
is on the bike!
and
also coz you get to park next to the entrance doors under cover
I also beleieve you can do the same at the other centres here
in Melbourne

no complaints here

cheers

Carindale has dedicated bikeparks. Although went there a couple of weeks ago, and it was nearly full. Gotta go later to day, will see what it is like...... :?

We just had a big extension put on a shopping centre here.....8 bike parking spots painted and marked right outside the front entrance. It's great!
Of course, some tool in a Harley had taken up two spots with his bloody truckbike.

Regards, Andrew.

I was wanting to get one of then as I have a Nordic-4 jacket and it is really hot even with the liner out....good for long rides but not around town. I am also looking at some summer gloves. The DriRider RallyCross ones look alright. What do some of you think.

I'm not really in a hurry to buy them just yet as my bike isn't going again   Surprise Surprise   . I was talking to a bloke the other day about my bike, It runs like shit until it hits about 6G's then it fuckin takes off....for a 250  , anyway this bloke thinks it could be the diaphragm/s in one or both of the carbies, but I think that maybe there might just be some shit in them...hoping thats all it is. Anyway I'm going to nearly strip the bike, also take the head off and check the valves and shit...got the manuals to follow so hopefully it won't be too hard. Also going to clean all fuel delivery systems and lines....AND going to PAINT IT...Finally YAY...Not sure what colour yet. Probably black  still thinking about it.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to All

The most important is that u feel comfortable and there is sufficient level of protection(subjective to individual).
