Howdy folks,
more interesting news from WA.....

you know those adorable mini-choppers you can get, well......over here you can get them registered for the road!!!! No motorcycle license is required, just a regular WA drivers licnse!!!! You can ride them on the ROAD!!!!!!!
One of the local posties drives a quad-bike (registered for the road) to deliver the mail - on the road no less!!!!!!

In Darwin the council's litter picker uppers rode quad bikes on the side of the highway picking up rubbish....

how come in NSW, if you're anywhere near a footpath, or a road, or on anything other than your private property, you get fined and charged for riding anything at all (other than a pushbike)?????????

In WA, the police have been chasing trail bike riders wiht helicopters and getting squad cars to folow them home to charge and fine them as they arrive home!!! What the?????

Yes but don't forget for every plus there's a negative - learner riders in WA cannot get on the road at any time unless they have a fully licensed rider riding with them.

I'm so glad they don't do that here, or I would have had to get someone to ride to and from work with me for several months
