He must be kidding..!!
"It was a serious matter, conceded Chris Smith, an IT businessman, but should not deter potential buyers. Scooters, with their low centres of gravity, are safer than other motorcycles, and riders must pass a stringent test."

"discussing suspension and acceleration"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
How does that work ...
"... acceleration .. oh yes that would be nice"
"no, no Bernice, if we had that we would need decent suspension"
At least they
are on two wheels .. a good thing.

I don't think he's kidding. The lack of front suspension, no power, piss-poor brakes and those little itsy-bitsy tyres make for a great handling bike!
My brother just purchased a 50cc Aprillia scooter. Now there's a beast!

Haha like the old rockers and mods in England and maybe here too as well but I am a bit young to know about that (looks around for Gos and Ronster).

Ok I seen it in a movie, a really old movie but it was the thing back then to have the mods on the screwters and the rockers on the real motorcycles line up for a gang-bang

I was absolutely mortified when a close friend, who at 30 years of age has just got her drivers licence but has always loved motorbikes, accounced to me that she was going to get her motorcycle licence (YAY!) and get.......a 250cc scooter!! Jeff & I have been trying to talk her into getting a real bike, but she won't be swayed.

That would be a movie called Quadrophenia ....
"No, Kev, that's it. Look, I don't wanna be the same as everybody else. That's why I'm a Mod, see? I mean, you gotta be somebody, ain't ya, or you might as well jump in the sea and drown. "
Late 70's styllin' ...

bite me evil:
Quadrophenia is a great movie, all you
YOUNG-UNS out there should do yourself a favour, and get a DVD or VHS ( or probably a f'n BETA heh Jonno ????

) and watch it - it is rated as one of the better *biker* movies of all time ( well, it appears in the most-watched list of just about every *mature* bike journo I know....)
