What happens when a Squid comes undone - not graphic?

Found this floating around the net.
It is a video of a guy who decided to squid one day and show off to his stunter mates.

I saw a squid come of the other day, not pretty.
Came tearing up behind me while I was just cruising in a 100 zone, I pulled over and let him pass, then about 2km up the road the twisties begin. I think he managed four corners successfully and on the fifth there was quite a mess to clean up.

we had a guy in at work the other day who was "supposedly" wearing draggin jeans when he came off
he had skin grafts over the weekend, not pretty

Draggin Jeans only have kevlar built into the knee's and arse (and in the stitching) as far as I am aware.
Yeah that provides protection - until the rest of the jeans around the kevlar area rip away..
Yeah they're protective clothing but not as good as leather or those proper codura pants you can get (like mina's etc)

I was just commenting on the fact that - depending on your stack and where you land on the road and your momentum - Draggin's aint' the best protection you can have - eg you can end up with skin graphs - also the kevlar can have a tendancy to melt to your skin as well (so i've heard)
It all comes down to i suppose in the end - what speed you were doing when you came off - how you land, and how rough the surface is thatyou land on

Cover your ass! Our protective Kevlar® lining extends from just below the belt loops to, well, just below your ass. We cover your knees as well with Kevlar® knee protection. Our Kevlar® knee protection wraps around to cover the front and outside of the knee and shin.

Worst thing about Draggin's is the complete lack of impact protection...still gotta love'm on those hot days though!

Nova - there's optional CE knee armour available, I paid about twenty bucks for it if I remember. Main problem is that they attach to the jeans and move around with them, rather than staying anywhere near your knee.
I'm thinking I'll just get some motox/mtb style knee/shin armour and strap that on. As far as a run through the hills goes, I'll always wear full leathers... Draggins are just for around town/highway work.
As for the kevlar, it covers the bum, outside of your thigh and knee/upper shin area with kevlar. Quite good coverage but you know what our mate Murphy says about that...
