Absolutely they are - you guys can take your pick...
Racersden - http://www.racersden.com/parts/int/by-part/frame-sliders.php, dunno what brand they're selling though, may be their own.
AMC - http://www.amcmotorcycles.com/en-gb/dept_59.html, sell R&G, Magic Mushroom and Top Block for the 9R.
You can probably find lots of others too. They're all over the place for the 9R

I've got a set on mine... The problem with them is they mount to the fairing mounts on the 98 to 01 models so there not as strong as the ones on the latter model.
Intuitive race products in the state have them on sale at the moment.

Check the pics of Dans incident and you'll see what they look like. I bought 3 sets a few months ago and sold one to Dan.

Simmo,

i'm interested in getting some but have found most places stock crash knobs that fix onto the fairing bracket where i want them to be mounted on the frame.

The one for frame mounting are $186+postage.

If that doesnt bother you (fairing mounted crash knobs) then you will definately find some at most places.

Randel at http://www.roadrocket.com.au had both types for my zx6r
but as I didn't want to drill my fairings I went for the ValterMoto anodised
fairing mount type.
The engine bolt type for mine were a green plastic and came with a replacement water bottle

go to his site then email him.
His in west Melbourne

The ones for the 2002 / 2003 zx9 fix to the engine mount, these are the go... The ones for the 98 to 2001 mount to fairing lug on the underside of the frame rail, near you knee.... They are totally different...
The intuative link I posted earlier have them for $50 to $60 Aus including postage. You won't find any cheaper than that.

Dave,
The big bugger knobs bracket looks flimsy, is this so?
