135.9 - JESUS WEPT !!!!

Postby Gosling1 » Wed Aug 17, 2005 9:30 pm

135.9 cents per litre

Today, I spent that incredible sum to fill the 12 with BP Ultimate !!! First time, thought I would give it a go and see what it is like - first impressions, not too bad at all !!

BUT THE PRICE    what the hell happened ?? Another war in Kuwait ??????? Some sheiks gold-plated Mercedes needs another plating ?????? this is just utter crap. Mark my words, before Xmas 2006, you will see guzzoline at 2.00 per litre and rising !! better register the postie-bike

Is this price happening everywhere at the moment ?? or just us unlucky sods here in ACT ??????

cheers :?

It's happening everywhere, not just Australia either. American's are bitching about it over there too.

I think that includes ~74.13 cents tax...

Thanks for supporting the Australian Gov. 8)

  no wonder those Dutch guys enjoy their hooch so much !!!! they need it to get over the fuel costs

Relatively speaking, yes we are looking good. But relatively speaking, I was *only* paying 89.9 cents per litre in January this year. The price today, only 8 months later, is a jump of what, 50 % ???? Oil production costs have not risen 50%, my wages have not risen 50%, there is apparently *little* profit margin at the pump, so why are prices going through the roof ????? its a joke ! I am spewin'  its all a big con, to pay for Sheik YaMoney's pure-silver Audi !!!

ps - the big Kahunah of Kuwait died the other day - expect oil prices to rocket even further !!! Our grandchildren will pay $10 litre !!!

adios

Opec controls the release therefore the price. If you know what opec stands for then you might even know why we are all tied into its pricing and its control. 8)

I see the UK isn't on there, when we left almost 2 years ago it was about 97p per litre!
for those 2 lazy to times that by the exchange rate of 2.4 it works out the Brits are paying $2.34 a litre
Also their GST is 17.5%

its Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries eh ? and good old Oz is part of it, but a very *small* part. I still think fuel prices suck, nay, they Hoover man :?

time to go and get LPG fitted to the Family Battlewagons ...... at this rate, LPG will be back to 1/3 the bowser price of 'Guzzoline' .. So what is everyone else in Oz paying for Premium at the bowser ?????

cheers :D

most of the countries paying more than us,
have very dense populations, highly dependant on public transport.
driving is a luctury.
but for us, being so spread out, it's a necessity.

if fuel rises enough, it will pull inflation up with, and with that, rise the interest rates.

as if it wasn't hard enough trying to buy a place on a single income already. lets hope we don't see th 18 - 20% of the nineties.

rant over.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
