Never admit to your real speed...

Postby tape » Sat Aug 06, 2005 3:59 pm

Well I went for a spin up kinglake then back thru Whittlesea. I stopped off at Thomas's... geez they are getting expensive for bikes....

So I decided to trundle off home and open the bike up along the str8 back down Woodstock to Epping Rd. (I never goe this way normally), at 11000 revs the needle hits 200km/hr and I get one of those fantastic side wind rushes.... I decided to let off the right wrist a tad and slow down...

Holy shit..... a farking cop car with the radar on the roof rack gets me... a casual look in the mirror seals my fate, the boy in blue turns and hot foots it in my direction... so over I go to the side of road and wait ..

"have you had anything to drink sir and do you know how fast you were going" as he shoves a breathalizer in my gob.

No drinks mate but I'm unsure of my speed.... :? "well I got ya at 120km/hr but I know you were slowing down pretty quick... so you will have to fork out $210 and 3 demerit points"

Yes mate sorry I wasn't aware I was going that fast ..... one red ticket later and me gearing up to ride the 5km home and thanking the Lord Jim Beam that I wasn't radared 30seconds earlier...

Yes I am a dick, but glad I still have my license.

cheers
Mick :drinkers:

You should have told him that you were thankful he didn't get you 30 seconds sooner... might have got a laugh out of him.

Jase did think of saying that for just a split second... but I noticed he was from Whittlesea plods, they are notorious for lack of sense of humor...

Besides he was on his roll for picking up speeder's cos he took off b4 I could get my helmet back on and had a commodore pulled over within a minute.

He did say tho however that the bike looked in good nick... :D

Lucky Mick,

the problem is, it's just so easy to do.

I had a sedate day on the bike which only cost me $382

*EDIT* The new tyres are very nice though, amazing how well it turns in now  */EDIT*

Lucky man
I was once nabbed coming out of bonnydoon for a VIC registered bike and a NSW licence a Yoshi pipe, not keeping left unless overtaking, neg riding, not idicating while changing lanes and doing 86 in a 60 zone.and to start talking. All this in blink of an eye as i apexed a corner on a country road. He told me i had a court appearance so i'd better start talking. Turns out it was a friend of a friend and he let me off with a 68 ina 60 zone fine. :D
Bikes make the world go round.

spot of luck that he wasn't on the scene 30 sec earlier...........

bloke got nabbed on the Hume near Goulbourn last month in a Bentley - radar got him at 239kmh -- apparently as he was slowing down rapidly......

sheesh, imagine getting blown off by a limo

as i now go south semi regularly, decided to wind the car out to see how it'd go when going south about 9pm. I got to 170 with a bit to go, but decided passing other cars that are doing 110km/h in a corolla at 60+km/h over them might freak the hell outta them. was shits & giggles none the less :D.
