Hmmmm try insuring Driving School motorcycles......only one insurer will touch them- some bizarre offshore company (Heritage Classic Insurance, in WA) in Cayman Islands I think......they knocked me back coz I have had 5 no-fault claims in the last five years.......and I am a bad risk because of it. I begged them to reconsider because no insurance, no Q-Ride, and they accepted me......with a $2500 excess if the client is under 25......
Stupid really because you get the students to a reasonable level off-road before putting them on road in motorcycle training. Wouldn't hurt some car driving learners to start the same way I have found.
If I need to claim, I think I will be paying for the costs myself, just to maintain the insurance, and thus Q-Ride. (haven't applied yet- will soon.)
I have never had a student hit anyone while I have been training...I hope that continues.....my GN250 is remote controlled though- I can kill the engine with a remote key...handy coz I can't run as fast as even a GN250....
