Rim Stripes (~600kb of pics)

Postby NinjaMoses » Tue Jul 19, 2005 10:32 pm

Figured I would show off a few piccies of the rim stripes we just had put on our Ninjas (mine & the girlfriends). Big thanks to Stripe Master here in Perth. Josh who works there is a champion.

Very happy with the results. Unfortunately the photos make them look a little dull, in real life they are nice and bright.

First up my 98 model ZX9R. Just had the green rim stripes added.

And now the girlfriends 2000 model ZXR250. Had the orange rim stripes added and the horrific stock yellow decals replaced for something that matched a little better.

Pic of it originally for comparision...

And the new improved version :)

Mate what a difference, the 9 looks good but just changing the zxr stickers to orange and the orange rim stickers on SILVER looks very trick.

They do help to brighten up a plain looking bike and i have thought about putting a set of them on the six, do they take long to stick on and what hapens if you stuff it up?
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Cheers for the comments guys. I actually payed Stripe Master to do it all, cause I sure as hell didnt want to try and put them on myself (I dont have that kind of patience). Took him roughly 10 minutes each side of each rim, so about 40 mins all up. The stuff he used was really good to work with... could peel it off again within a few minutes easy as, but once you have left it for 10 mins or more its stuck on hell good.

Pricing was pretty damn good considering all I did was sit around and watch. My bike was $80 plus GST and my girlfriends bike was $120 plus GST. Cheapest mod I have done so far and they have made a huge difference. :)

I'm not a great lover of rim stickers, I'd rather go polished, but it still makes an appealing difference
Well done.

oh very nice! green rims are hard to keep clean. having black ones w the green rim stickers would be much easier to deal with.
