Yep I reckon you're on the money make them realise you're not going away and you are able to substantiate your claims and there is a paper trail.

Yes, I did go to civil compliance and met them personally. Then they said OK we will review, wait 6 weeks (!) then 3 weeks after I got the "Not enough information..." notice :x

Well looks like fill out the back of the fines and see a magistrate. When it does get to court seek out the police prosecutor before you enter the court.I have cut deals with them before and the magistrate just rubber stamped it.

I know where he works for sure and passes on the details to the police. Other details are murky at best.

But good news, today I pay another visit to civic compliance, and this time I stood my ground. They cannot verify the guy's details in the transfer paper too and was very helpful since. Presumably now they trust me that I've been scammed.

They told me to visit Vicroads again and to specifically ask the rego status to be changed to 'unknown user'. And also to back date the rego cancellation to the selling date. So I did it right away and back to the civic compliance office they withdraw the fines.

So with this win, I am thinking to see what else I can do legal wise eg. fraud and lost time/stress.

Thanks all for the advice and encouragements. There really are assholes out there.

Good,it shows that the system relies on you sucking it up.My rule is don't suck up any shit from the system and make them fight for everything as most of them are moorons and rely on people being soft cocks.

I'm usually soft cock but when they want $600+ for something I didn't do my cock is as hard as rock

I received the formal withdrawal letter today. Thanks again all! ...
