KRC (not KSRC) at the GP 2005

Postby samhasa636 » Fri Jul 15, 2005 11:39 am

I have just faxed off my rego form. So fingers crossed good fortune comes my way.

If you don't know what the package is all about, here it is:

3-Day entry
Meet team riders and mechanics
Entry to to the Kwaka marquee
Protection from the elements
Undercover and garden seating
closed circuit television
Grandstand seating
Tea/Coffe and light lunch friday
Deluxe BBQ and continuous hot/soft drinks sat/sun
Private grand stand
Possible pit walk with the race team
Kwaka gift pack includes: race shirt, race cap, jacket, camp chair and a 20% discount at the kwaka product display
3 tickets in a prize pool including a KDX50 minibike
Parking

All for $515 for KRC (not KSRC) members
or $695 for non members

My thinking is this:
If I want a moment away from it all (all: being the antarctic storm that is bound to be with us for at least 1 day on the Island) then I will have a nice, warm place to go to. I will always have somewhere to sit and it will always be dry. I also hear, due to budgetary constraints, the kawaski pit girls will not have a private change room and will be made to spray on their outfits in the middle of the tent
On the otherhand, when it takes my fancy, I can take a little excursion amongst the commoners. Where I will pursue the overwhelming desire to uphold the reputation of KSRC.
I feel it is my duty to ensure that we as a group are recognised as unruly, shameless and rambunctious. I am not likely to let a few of you steal the honour for yourselves.

A moment away from it all! PWHHHH PUSSY

No good unless you haven't got anywhere to sleep and a ute full of piss to drink.

Next thing your'll be telling us, your gonna wear a green leotard to support your favourite team.

Hmmmmm

You realise that when you do meet up for a 'social' drink, everyone's gonna hang shit on ya

Seems a bit much to pay unless they have a marquee pitched on the only corner with a continous veiw of the whole track filled with corporates that wouldnt have a clue sipping yellowglen.

It would then be worth it too see the racing, went to some v8 supercar meetings at lakeside that where like that corporate tents hogging the best veiwing areas and blocking the view around a good part of the track.

What else do you get a delux barbeque probably like the sausages and coleslaw we get at the ridedays, and we already have the best tshirts here. :D :D
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

If it gets far too windy/wet/warm/boring/exciting/anything I'll retreat into the Kombi and open the bar

I was going to do that too, I don't think it is that expensive at all. Also there is another package or it could be the same one with a 3 day supported ride down to PI from Sydlney or that might have been to the supers :?
When ya really want something and do not mind paying for it - do it and who cares what the wowsers think.

If I were on my own I might be tempted despite hating camping (best piece of camping equipment is a visa card  ), but my partner is suffering the after affects of a smashed shoulder thanks to a cage (SMIDSY) so when it rains we need somewhere under cover becase the cold is agony for her.

We will definately be over to the KSRC site to meet up though.

Cheers

Not yet. Unless sent my form in late last week (Friday?).

Smitty - Of course I am wearing my KSRC shirt. Hopefully I will have a new one to wear as well.

The rest of you - Get nicked!
