Hola Mi Amigo's

Got back from Barcelona last night. What an awesome piece of the world, relaxed, friendly, nice and warm (at this time of year) and plenty of tapas and cervesesas 8) 8)

However the most sensational event of the week was undoubetdly the MotoGP. Un..friggin'...believable. This was the first Euro GP I'd been to and I'm hooked. The level at which they follow the sport and get into it is incredible. >100,000 at the track, not a pissed idiot in sight and everyone just having an absolute ball irrespective of who they followed.

Being Catalunya Marquez and Pedrosa are pretty popular (Lorenzo is not liked in the North) however Rossi blows them all into the weeds (even in Catalunya). Rossi fans would easily be 10:1 to other fans. Irrespective of whether you like him or not you have to acknowledge that what he has done for the sport is totally unsurpassed I reckon.

We were sitting in the stadium bit so we could see the last four corners but unfortunately where Luis Salom crashed. The reaction of the crowd whenever a rider came around with Saloms flag and number was sensational though.

You're a lucky basket!.
+1 on the European MotoGP scene. Having been to Assen and Le Mans (as well as Laguna Seca, California) we were amazed at the level of involvement. Excellent value for money each time. PI can learn a lot from these venues, in looking after fans and spectators, considering pricing, and the rip-off for grand stand seats built for midgets at the PI track.
