Spidi leathers...info and advise

G'day all,

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out with some info please.

Just a question about a set (is"set" what you call leathers or is it a pair?...it's pants and jacket zipped together...so whats that called?)...anyway..I got a set/pair of second hand Spidi leathers yesterday that fit beautifully. Real nice colour...almost brand new..in fact it looks like they have never been used..including room for a back brace (except my boots won't fit with em on...lol ...so I'll have leathers and thongs on (just joking)).

I wanted to look em up on the internet to see what they are worth and how old a model they are and stuff like that.... the bloke reckon their worth $1600 new!!! I just want a set so I can go do a superbike course then some track days etc...maybe get a track bike just for the fun of it...that sort of thing.

On the label is a few numbers...the first thing that appears is a number... 594. I'm guessing that something should have been written above it but it got ripped off..dunno.

the second word says stagione and has the letter CAAE below that. I dunno what stagione means.

The third says modello with Y51 below it. I guess modello means model?

The fourth thing says colore with the numbers 226 under it. I guess that means colour. (its a real nice black white and blue set).

And the last thing is taglia with the numbers 54 after it which I guess is the size...cause they are 54...lol.

They have a weird lookin "R" on the shoulders with EVOLUZIONE under it.

So does anyone know what they are called or how to describe them so I can search for 'em....or how to look up the details for them.

I paid $900 for em....so I hope I got a good deal...they are made in italy so i thought that was something at least and a friend at work, who races bikes, said that Spidi is one of the best brand leathers so dunno hope I did ok...please tell me nicely if I'm a dope (and don't tell my wife ..on the other hand she might already know anyway)

thanks if you can help..if so it would be much appreciated.

See if you can match them here

http://www.planetbikes.co.uk/acatalog/S ... thers.html

might not help but 'stagione' means period or stage or season

taglia is 'cut' but in this context is size

the rest are obvious

hi Brad

I reckon thats a good catch
I have a pair of Spidi boots..these are very good
and if the suit is as good...

from my limited Italian
taglia = size
stagione = seasoned or cured (tanned I guess..it is cowhide)
modello = model you are right there

a Google search for Spidi 594 turns up lots of references re
motorcycle clothing with pics etc

cheers

Dude, don't open the door like that. Someone like Neka is bound to walk through it...

Anyway:

Zip Together = 2 piece
All together in 1 piece = c'mon, guess...

If you strut into any moto shop and ask for a 2 or 1 piece they will know what you mean... and if they laugh at you for asking what a set of leathers is, go somewhere else.
