Good move Ron. Haven't had one, but if you had an infringement notice it would come in the mail, not as an email.

How ya been mate?

problem is they mentioned a vehicle i have never had.. in a place I have never been
and also mention dates back in 2009 or 2010 (really? and they are being sent now?)
so my email washer bounced them and scrubbed them from my system and the ISP server

We have been receiving heaps lately, everything from AUST Post, COmmBank, ANZ, to gas providers.

Most ask you to click on a .zip file that is attached.

Just in case you don't know..... DO NOT OPEN THE FILE. invariably it will contain virus which will get into your contact list and send the same or similar email to everyone in your contact list, operating in the back ground so you don't even know it.

We had an instance here our entire bandwidth was clogged by two or three accounts constantly trying to send emails in the back ground

This one is a legitimate scam - FFS don't click on the link - it will just take you to a blank page, but you will then receive another email saying that a virus has been installed on your HDD (which is true) and unless you stump up $5k or $7k (the amounts have varied) - then your HDD will be wiped out.

We got the heads-up about this one at work 2 days ago - yes they were sending the scam directly to the Bronze !! dickheads
