Bikes stolen from business

Postby ZedOne » Tue Feb 24, 2015 6:49 pm

Hi Everyone.

Second time this week that a friends motorcycle shop has been targeted and broken in to.

Bikes stolen earlier this morning were a DRZ400 and a DRZ250. This was in Murray Bridge SA.

If anyone see's some new parts listed or bikes like this, please report it to the police.

Sooner these scum are caught, the least likely it could be one of our bikes next.

You can check out this public cctv footage that someone posted of the event.

It is slowed down as to try and see them better, all up it only took them around 1 and a half minutes.

Thanks.

Great news.
Hope the bikes aren't damaged and are able to be put back on the floor.

We stopped at that shop last year on the way from Perth to Phillip Island so my brother could get a new chain fitted to his FZ1. Great service and even stayed open after hours to finish the job seeing as we were only passing through!

Apparently the police had an idea of one of the offenders from the way he moved and walked in the video. Pretty well known obviously. Then they seen him driving the same car in the video the very next day...and he bailed and ran. Pretty smart eh.

That's the problem. Police do the hard work, and the courts make it too easy.

We shall see.

Great to hear. They are very nice people, and always willing to help. I try and spend my money there when possible. Another good mate of mine used to own it way back when it was the Kawasaki dealer shop. He still has boxes of goodies from 15+ years ago. Recently got some parts from him for an old z900 resto project I am working on.

Hi all,

Glad to see that the cops helped out. In this case, they're heroes. ;-)

What's wrong with today's youth? I think that the trouble can be traced back to the outlawing of capital punishment in schools:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tap0yCIEAqE

If I sell drugs I risk losing items such as cars, bikes, homes etc.

http://www.afp.gov.au/policing/proceeds-of-crime

Why not extend that philosophy to force those convicted of theft to pay compensation for damage done? They're on social security? That should make it easier to apply a garnishee order for $10 / week etc.

Human Biology is a strange science.
Yes those little bastards obviously a product of political correctness gone mad !
Bring back the cane and the Strap, but nothing replaces good old fashioned discipline.
New gen parents can be seen as lacking.
Bloody shame.
