Talk about getting stressed

Postby Stevojumps » Sat Oct 25, 2014 8:52 pm

My lad got his L's on monday and he's been riding the local streets to get used to it.
Took him out in the hills this morning on some nice big sweepers and a little bit of tighter stuff all at a very slow pace , but watching him in the mirrors sometimes
I've riden with plenty of learners over the years but fook it's different when it's your kid out there.
Over all he rode fairly well for his first time and the mistakes he made he knows where he went wrong & we got back it safely which is all that matters.
We'll go out again tomorrow and hopfully it won't be as stressfull.......For me

it will always be stressful if its your kid no matter how good he is, my young bloke is coming up soon but refuses to get a bike licence atm but that's his choice

glad to see he made it home without any learner 'brain farts'.

how did you go on sunday? maybe look in your mirrors a little less. i had to do that when i rode with my mate on his L's. had to turn around one day to find he'd gently ploughed it into an embankment

Didn't go out on Sunday , Showers forcasted and his back trye was knackered, was and old race tyre. Didn't really want him out on wet stuff the way the tyre was.
Fitted some almost new original tyres on there for next time. I know I need to look less in my mirrors but jeeze it's hard
