Nope no way there is a limit to what is acceptable and what is just plain crazy :P
Is under $5,000 a reasonable price for this ,if mechanically sound ???.It does have a small dent in the tank and obviously missing a side cover, plus non standard pipes and air box .

I think its that close it would be a personal decision, I have seen them go for a lot more but they are pristine bikes, also at times it pays to pay a little bit more to get that perfect specimen but at the end of the day it all depends on what you want.Search the web and see what they are bringing and if you have a swarm of bidders on a bike most times that indicates it has value

Went and checked it out pretty original bike rode pretty well and would have been a goer, but there was a consistant weep from the base gasket so needed a strip down to fix it.Considering it was something I just wanted to get on and go it was not for me.It will sell though apart from that I thought it was an hounest bike really quiet engine gearbox fine, all really good for a 40 year old plus bike.I just didn't want the hassle of an engine strip as u never know what needs doing once you get it down.
