I want to ride and I have no bike. Just thought I'd share my woes. What do you do when your baby is in the shop? -J.

Pace about the house annoying people, take the pushie out for a spin (any 2 wheel pleasure is better than none), maybe consider hiring something depending on avail $pondoolix

Mike is on the money , take the pushy out for a spin . Try front wheel stoppies on the MTB . Lock up slides on gravel tracks . Stationary balancing acts at traffic lights . Monos up gutters . A bit of adrenalin can be had and keep some cheap two wheel action happening till your toy comes home .

I'm afraid of bicycles. I haven't ridden a bicycle in 15 years.

I just about fell off a pushbike recently, not having ridden one since I first got my 250. I jumped on, and there's a hill of about 800 metres that goes through a couple of curves, then there's a turn I have to take which sends me up a sharp hill.

It all flowed very nicely until I realise the throttle was stuck. Wobble, losing speed, wobble, losing balance, wobble *ding* light goes on in my head... pedal boy, pedal!!

My brain was in motorbike mode... just goes to show how much of your riding is automatic.

well i feel like killing everybody in the office and outside and the bastards with working bikes and..... aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! the go road is calling!!!!!!!!

my 7 died late last night...

changed into 2nd going through an intersection and it stalled, lucky i was only a few blocks from home i guess :? it was like it had a flat battery as it would just click when i went to start it.
pushed it bit then managed to kick start it and then thought oh its just fuel (switched over to reserve). turned around and continued on my merry way thinking a bit of riding would charge the battery... got 4 blocks and it stalled again PHARRRRRRKKKKKK!!!!!!!...
pushed it 2 blocks and managed to kick start it again. blew red lights, stop signs and anything else in my way to get to the bike shop. stalled just as i pulled up around the back of the shop

i dont know if i'm suicidal, homicidal or what :x   :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :?: :?: :?: :?:

raffiki, sounds like a crook battery to me. Sticka new one in and you'll probably find that it will be ok.

thats what i thought too but i had been riding for a good few hours that day and it just died all of a sudden in the evening, like the alternator kicked the bucket or something?

oh yeah and the headlights started to go dim (thought it was the city lights getting brighter :)) and 20mins later that happened.

i dunno, i just want my bike back

By the way Jamie i have a scoot here if you want to come get it for a ride.
Pm me.
Cheers Brett

:D Ponti, that is so sweet! Thank you for the offer, but I think I'd better wait for Zed to come home to me, since I could never ride another while he was at war  I mean, in the workshop

Actually, I'll be honest. I have a sprung rib (stupid barricade broke me good) and don't think I'm physically capable of riding at the moment, since putting strain on my arms makes me whimper like a little girl. Work, booze + KSRC will have to do to fill my idle hours homework.gif :partyman:

Sounds more like the alternator is kaput. Which lead to a flat battery. This would explain why you were lucky enough to get another start and a short ride before it stopped again.
With a working alternator the motor will continue to work even without a battery at all (depending on the wiring obviously).
