Good find Collette. Had a look at a few bits and they seem pretty good.

The bit on riding posture is quite good and will help a lot of new riders out.

There are some bits to beware of eg "snapping the brakes on will cause your suspension to bottom and therefore cause the brake to lock".

Thats not how it happens but the outcome is the same I guess.

Very worthwhile read though.

A mate in the UK got pulled up on Sunday in a road-block just for bikers , thought he was going to get the usual tinted visor, small plate rant, but instead they ignored the bike, gave him a CD on Riding Skills and asked his opinion on how they could improve on road safety for bikers.
The older i get,the faster i was..........

You sure it'd be shock Colette? There might have been a pothole you put your foot into without realising it ;-).

Having had a JUST a few conversations with the UK constabulary
over the years (on my trips there) courtesy of the odd bit of rule
breaking * I can say they treat drivers/riders like adults
and ask sensible questions..and are polite

*well it IS legal to overtake on the left here (Oz) on freeways
but
it is strictly VERBOTEN to do that on the UK motorways
you will really upset Mr Plod if he sees you doing that
...as I found out!

interesting though
the 100mph in the 70 zone didn't faze them
I just got a warning

cheers
