Mine's under the pillion seat. In full view of the....Good Taste Police. :D It's bad enough having to have a number plate. There's no way I'm having a rego sticker aswell. Should be like a licence. Produce on request.

I have been pulled over in my car and they havne't said anything about my rego sticker which is located under the blue tinted bit at the top of my windscreen.

It cant be seen. They normally have to shine a tourch through the tint to see it.

As for the motorbike it on the same screw as one of the screw holding my chain guard.

These little fucked up laws. Its not like i'm not gonna pay my rego. I like paying $1,000 a year (car & bike) to still fucking drive around on fucked up roads.

Bunch of tossers.

this is off the Vicroads site
For a motorcycle, the label must be placed in a suitable registration label holder mounted on the left side of the motor cycle, or to the left handlebar or the steering head so that the label faces forward

the way i read this is the label has to face forward so if i put it next to the chain gaurd its not legal and i'll get a ticket
hmmmmmmm starting to sound like a front no. plate to me
next thing you know i'll need a licence to ride
ohhhh i do

yep
heard that one too.....

what I heard is that they (Vicroads and Shittylink)
are looking at electronic number plates for bikes....
and then for cars...

they reckon if they can get electronic ID's working on bikes
(think of the vibration and weather issues with a electronic tag)
they are gunna do it with cars.....
the problems of number plates being stolen (especially in Footsgray and Dandy...at each end of Shittylink) will stop if the cars are tagged
with electronic number plates...and yes
there will be no need for a SEPARATE e-tag.....

BIG BROTHER...here we come

What i've heard they have trialed an e-tag but it did fail (which was to be complsory for all bikes to have).

Now they wanna make an id tag which will be on the back of rego stickers (like the same things they use in stores to detect stolen merchandise) which means e-tags will no longer be in operation.

That way motobikes dont have to be equipt with from plates.

This will be the same for bikes and cars

Mate, I don't think you misread it... I think you misinterpreted it.

For a motorcycle, the label must be placed in a suitable registration label holder mounted on the left side of the motor cycle, or to the left handlebar or the steering head so that the label faces forward...

I don't think they mean that it has to face towards the front of the bike. I think they mean that the label has to face forward. IE: so that it can be read. No point putting it on with the writing facing towards the bikes...

well after watching todays ...7.30 report on Ch2
about the road toll....
NOTHING is too far away...
how about this one....!!!

the head of the NSW Staysafe..the govt advisory committee
on road safety said tonite...
the NSW govt will legislate so that by 2007
ALL vehicles sold in NSW..
will require a Satnav device that will electronically read the speed of the road you are on..
and prevent your vehicle, in ANY circumstances, going faster...
this will have to be built into ALL new cars sold in NSW
and as he said...
there will be NO requirements for a hiway patrol..NO speed checks needed....
'coz NO_ONE can exceed the speed limit...at any time
there will be further requirements to go to the govt for legislation..
regarding licencing and offences.......up to double the current!!!

this is SCARY STUFFF...
and
they reckon VIC govt is mad........sheeeeeeet
