Postby Ment » Wed Jun 15, 2005 5:48 pm

I was just picking up my bike from boltons when i was told that Ian was hit by a car last night.
Aparently his pelvis is broken and there was just lots of blood etc.

Heres hoping he is doing well and has a quick recovery

Boltons Kawasaki (http://www.boltonskawasaki.com.au) is Adelaides only Kawasaki dealer. Ian is the service manager there.

Ian is a top bloke and really goes out of his way to look after you and he's always prepared to stop what he's doing and have a chat. Hopefully he's ok and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Might have to pop in to Boltons and see if there is any update. Thanks Ment.

Apparently:

Ian was riding his bike along Richmond Rd, from South Rd and towards Railway Tce. As he approached Railway Tce, a P-plater in a car coming from the other direction made a right hand turn onto Railway Tce, in front of Ian who had no opportunity to stop.

Ian t-boned the car. He is still in hospital and heavily drugged up. He pelvis is broken in half, his leg is busted and something went through his arm. (Or his arm is broken and something went through his leg. Can't remember which way round it was.)

Anyway, he's still in hospital and will probably be there a while.

The p-plater said...

Wait for it....

You'll never see this one coming....

He said..........

"I didn't see him."

Dickhead.

fark, I get sick of hearing that one, my partner will never ride again because of some dickhead driver, in exactly that scenario.

Jase, get a couple of your work mates & pay him a visit

It's annoying isn't it. I reckon that if they don't see you then they weren't looking properly, and if they weren't looking properly they were being negligent...so they should be charged accordingly

The worse thing is.. he has an old custom built thing with a custom frame, hand made tank etc etc. It has two of those big mother round headlights mounted to the front of it.

How could they not have seen it?
