Insurance Update

Postby Blackzxr » Thu Jun 09, 2005 9:51 pm

Well after my little clusterfark with Arista, i've done some ringing around.

Lets start by saying, my premium was $700 with Arista. The quotes i got were around the $1200 mark. I'm thinking farken hell, this is not good.

I rang Shannon's to get a quote and am a little concerned Dave has given bike riders a bad name (Sorry Mate) Go through all the details blah blah blah, have you had any claims "yes three, not at fault, two with you guys" Have you been refused insurance? "yes, with my current insurer, doh" You got refused for that, that's stupd you weren't at fault. "Yeah i know, i couldn't beleive it either" We're not big into bike insurance, but thinking of getting into heavily at the end of the year.

Very cool.... Anyway quote was $527 PA with $20,000,000 personal liability $500 excess and an agree'd value of $13,000.

Fark Arista, stick it in your ass.

BTW this is the last car they insured for me. "the pig" I loved it, Sharon hated it

That's pretty good.

My premium is $200 for a $4000 value, so yeah, go with that!

Hmmm. I'll keep this in mind, my 6r is insured with arista also, but doesn't need to be renewed until Feb. Shannons used to insure my Aprilia and they were fairly cheap, you could also pay quaterly at no extra cost. I was under the impression that they only did European stuff and specials, good to know they'll do other stuff as well.

Bad name.?? you got insurance at better price when others won't touch ya, sounds like I gave us a good name...:-)
So far they are pretty good to deal with and have already assesed and verbally approved the repairs to my 10. Only knocked back a couple of minor things.
Did they ask if you were a member of a club.?? They did me and I told them about KSRC.

Good result.

I've got three with Arista so I'll give Shannons a call at renewal time

Hahaha good call Dave.

They didn't ask me about the club, they usually do? Might give them a buzz and see if there is a discount.

You leave my Merc alone Feroza boy.
