Well kazz wanted to go for a ride today, sweet i said, lets go.
SO off we went, usual way up thru gembrook across to launchin place, across to heallsville, lunch there, and then what we thort would be a nice run thru the black spur!!!
Not to be... couple of Ks out of heallsville, cops got there usual setup.. waved over, licence check, blow in the bag, now i dont have a problem with this at all, so that done, he starts on my bike, 1st the tyres..WTF there there only a couple of thousand Ks old. it seems ive been enjoying them to much, a bit feathered up on the edges... He was on his knee's running his hand over them... i kid u not :shock:

thort he maybe wanted to fuck them or something... a bit personal i thort... dont think he approved of my comment :shock:

end result, got done for a fender elminator... not bad since its got the orginal on, with reflector, number plate light and oem blinkers... again.WTF so tried to tell him. no go... no probs i say i will just take it to vic roads and let them laugh at u i say...
Then they get kazz for same thing.. fair enough, her's is not legal. but as i said to him, arnt u nit picking? considering both bikes are in good nick, new tyres, brakes, chain and sprockets, and well looked after.. no he said, its against the law, because ADR say so.. fuckin tool i said...im only going to put her orginal back on, take to vic roads, clear it and refit it the way it is.. so he takes out a camera and starts taking photo's of her bike..WTF again...
Anyway end result of a nice day... 2 defected bikes.. and fuck mine still got the oem guard on it with all the bits..
But at least they wernt just pickin on bikes today, they were pulling all the cars over as well....
Me thinks this little short arse tool got bullied at school and thort when i grow up im going be a bigger tool and put the god suit on, and no one going mess with me :shock:

ADR defect on the stocker, wtf! Doesn't make me wanna ride on the road again

Nearly a year ago now, a ride I was on with Mal and mike we also had a similar interaction with the blue boys. They seem to be pretty anal on fender eliminators. That's one reason Ive kept it stock.

The fact that he gave you a defect notice on a OEM fender is unforgivable. They should compensate you for time in lieu now that you have to go to VicRoads during work hours to get it sorted. Not cool.

i was so going to ride today !! but alas i need to visit the island next weekend so didnt ride
i woulda been in the que for sure ....

being so close the supers and all of the operations they currently run in the yarra ranges
it was gunna be on the cards .... being harassed i mean

im sure all the money being allocated to enforcement , would be much wiser being spent on education training and road craft

i for one would hope they may change their really successful methods of yester year and move into a positive approach
of policing which could actually achieve results other than another fine and loss of demerits ponts
sure this obviously works to a point

it certainly hasn't had much effect on the road toll of late ..... so im sure all of the measures of vic police
have it in hand as they have over the years .... so sit back and cop another fine / loss of demerits
and be comforted in knowing all is well in the nanny state :kuda:

ask why the victorians dont ride so much :twisted:

anyway born green hope all is sorted on the bikes and you give vic roads a heaps :twisted:

on a positive note anyway the weathers looking good for next weekend ...

simples, ring the tourist board of the area and tell them the story of the police scaring away all those thirsty, hungry people on bikes with their standover tactics. also tell them they probably wont come back with their families for an extended stay because the police and their antics.

nothing gets movement like a financial lifeline being threatened

They are ther. Have been for a long time. The reason? First of all road safety....BG you know yourself there are too many tools on those roads. If they can ping ANY vehicle they will because it justifies their presence.
Best advice find somewhere else. Black spur is crap anyway due to traffic. Reefton is not what it used to be and Chum creek rd is next on the hit list. Avoid all the above.
For those that have never done it then turn right at cumberland junction and endure 20km of gravel to come across the best piece of un policed rd in the Yarra ranges.

Its all a bit silly really, i mean the licence check ok, the breath test again ok, thats fine, there only doing that part of their job.. but as i said to him, have a look at the bikes there in real good condion, well maintained ect.
And as i said to him, when was the last time u went to a bike accident when a fender eleminator caused a accident, hurt or mained or killed someone... no answer, funny that..

Yer i hear u... but today was just a cruise, kazz wanted to get her bike out, so i was just tooling along with her, all above board, dont think i got above the speed limit once, was supposed to be a nice quiet ride with lunch thrown in...
not really to worried, will take my bike to vic roads as it is, let them have a winge about vic pol been what they are...
Last time it was for a worn front tyre, that was close, but still legal by a whisker, but they still defected it. when i took that to vic roads, the guy went right off about the cops.. something about been sick of all the paper work that they generate for them...

Yeah thats a shit hence i really dont do that area on the weekends,at least then u only have to worry about log trucks,with the Odd po po in a 4 wheel drive.
