Well a woman driving a Barina with kids in car decides to pull out from stop signed part of T intersection right in Terries path... Terrie does the best counter steer of all time and manages to not t-bone the cage, she barely glances off the back panel of the Barina and it shoots her front wheel out underneath her.

Down she goes with bike on top of her... off to hospital for x-rays, no broken bones. :D ligaments in ankle stuffed elbow bashed up shoulder sore and dislocated finger... pain killers and bad sandwiches later we left hospital 5 hrs later. She is ok but very upset her bike is totalled.

Driver insured... :D

Shit Mick ... not good.

Good to hear T is OK ... the nerves will be a bit shaky, but noting a bit of Jimmy B's best wont fix - the night I came off I ended up drinking about 8 rums, they're great for the pain :D

Hope all goes well and the mighty GPX is replaced shortly

Aww shyte Mick...all the best to T speedy recovery I hope.

Think its about time to start carrying the baseball bat and see if that discourages the cages.

Damn!!!.. That really sucks...
I hope Terrie is OK and puts it behind her.
Accidents caused by others don't count.!! (if they did I'd be near Neka's numbers.:-))
If she needs any reasurance about how things will only get better she can talk to Jus.....
Jus crashed 2 bikes at the rider training, smashed her GPX250 in the middle of the pink ribbon ride and smashed a perfectyly fine zx6r trying to do a U turn, all in a 2 year period... Terrie has nothing to worry about.!!!.. yet..:-)..
Oh, Jus got better, but I sold her bike before she destroyed it.... She'll say it was cause she was pregnant... hahaha..:-)

T had her Draggins on, leather jacket and boots... if she didn't then different story Draggins were such a saver to her... Jacket has scars on it as do the boots.. we were actual coming back home to get car and pick up a GPz250R for spares for her bike... oh and get new helmets for us...

helmet now will def. be needed.. GPz250R on hold now if her bike is written off we'll look for a ZZR maybe dunno

And she says thanks so much to those who have sent best wishes... :)

cheers

Yeah Felix,

The Draggins you sold me had to worry about me shittin myself seein the love of my life hit the farkin car and the road... but she was so well controlled that she averted much worse damage to herself.

Her HART riding experience really showed in her control of the bike. If it hadda been me I'd have been goin faster and prolly tried a different manouver... like fang it and try slalom past the car... but i would hit the farker in the middle door....

cheers

So she did HART...obviously worthwhile. I am not sure it is available here in Qld.

I reckon there is no such thing as too much training...

I think if she put herself in a position that she could walk away, no matter the damage to the bike, then she's done spectacularly.

I dropped mine ages ago going down a gravel road, flipped over the bars and tumbled a metre or so down the road - it is amazing how much bruising you get, and how stiff and sore you are the next day. Give it a week or so  , she'll be fine.
