as you all know i havn't been riding for long , the first time i went to re-fuel i road into the servo turned of my bike opened the fuel tank grabed the bowser a started to fill her up.
but the pump kept on cutting out and this happened 10 or more times and i couldnt for the life of me work out why.
i thought it was the nozzle getting to close and it was shutting off automaticly, but me beeing the persistant one kept on filling her up , so after about 15mins she was full and i was starting to feel like an idiot for beeing there for so long filling up a motorbike.
then i got off my bike and went in to pay for the fuel with my helmet on mind you, and the person behind the counter said that i had to get off the bike and take my helmet off to re-fuel , and he was stopping the pump from inside on purpose, to try and make me realise what i was doing the wrong thing.
I was very pissed off and embarassed by this time and i payed the cashier and left the servo feeling pretty stupid to say the least.
Beeing on the bike while filling up may have led the guy to beleive that i was going to take off without paying and then going in to pay he might have thought that i was going to rob the joint .
so to save a hole bunch of headachs for everyone involved for me its just easyer to take off my helmet.
for the time it takes its not worth the embarassment or the hassel just to prove a point .
and the fact of the matter is we choose to ride bikes and unfortunatley taking your helmet off every 2 seconds is part of beeing a motorcyclist not to mention the gloves earplugs sunglases etc.
Just enjoy it , for me getting my bike licence and riding my bike is the best thing and i enjoy it heaps , so dont let a little thing like a helmet get you down.
