Pegs DOWN!

Postby kempy » Sat Jan 08, 2005 9:46 am

:D Scraped my pegs up riding along cedar flats this morning. Was hanging off the bike a fair way too so wasn't cheating either! First time on the 7R 8)

Cool, how do ya cheat scrapin' pegs anyway?

All I have managed is scraping boots like lil' toe, but no chicken strips on the rear either, felt like I was on the edge of the tyre, hmm must need longer scrape bolts on the pegs.

Good feeling though.

Ya cheat by not getting off the bike. Because that way you have to lean the bike over alot further to corner, and you go slower.

Awesome feeling, though shit myself. I honestly didn't think it'd happen.

ah I see, yeah its a fine line of scary and fun, and I ask myself shall I go further or not besides the bike should do more than you can but I question that all the time.

hehe, I had a GT350 once and leaned that over too far but the exhaust cans stopped it going further and had a bit of a wild ride holding on.
(doing handstands on the handlebars isn't part of my riding skills)

Hehehe, good job mate.
Think you'll need some of those rear sets I'm about to make.
Along with lots off other bits on my bike, they're smashed too :(
It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.

Well I used to scrape the pegs & the RHS fairing on my ZX2 @ Warwick on the hairpin!
But only because the shock was shagged & would compress so much, but it made me feel good.
I think to scrape the pegs on my 636 you would have to be doing something REALLY scary to get the hero blobs to touch down, especially with the firm rear shock.

But anyways back to your story, good on ya!

I'm Still not touching down & this is about as far as I have gone!!
