KSRC / TrakDaze Banner

Postby MadKaw » Tue May 18, 2004 5:11 pm

While we're getting right into self promotion I got a price to have a banner made up. Something to take out to the track with me and down to P.I. or any event that warrents some self promotion.
I figured I'd split it in 1/2 to advertise both my groups, so its got TrakDaze on 1/2 and KSRC on the other. It can be folded over for specific events.. Size is 2400mm x 800mm and the text options are below.
Its going to cost me $120 so if anyone can do better PLEASE let me know..
What ya think??

The Banner will be white with green text and the web addy in black.
The TrakDaze will be red text, with the addy in black..
And yes I did start TrakDaze too..

I was inclined to go with No 2 as the big K may be trademark infringement or something... dunno.. Any thoughts.

Are you expecting one of Kawasaki's lawyers to approach you at the GP and hand you a cease or desist letter??

Seriously, I wouldnt worry about it.

It has been questioned in the past.... Remember the Cafe Press site.
And at the last GP, one of the Kawasaki boffins at the expo wouldn't let us put our cards on the counter as we are not officially endorsed by Kawasaki.. You'd think they'd support us... but it may cut into there KRC membership.

I think option 2 is the one to go with.
The big K logo does have trademark issues that I don't think we want to even risk getting into.
And besides that I actually think the second one looks better ;)

If Kawasaki are going to make pricks of themselves, then I guess option 2 is the better of them.

Do they object to the use of the word Kawasaki???

yeah they can plaster it all over their bikes.....
but the use of the word by anyone else is verboten.....
so
maybe use the word in BIG fonts
but underneath.....have the all useful legal disclaimer
in type 1/10th high....
Kawasaki ® is a trademark of Kawasaki Australia..blah blah...
