in shorts thongs and Tshirt.... blimey!!

well - the helmet is law after all
It's all how people assess their own risk. I'll go without jacket and gloves if it's real hot and I'm on a short trip, but I ride to suite.
Each to their own Smitty - but I understand the reaction.

the only thing more painful than skiers sunburn
is sunburn on top of the foot....
which is what you get riding a bike in thongs (plural)
so
if you ride a bike in a thong, you get sunburn of the cheeks..????

See it quite a lot actually living on the sunny coast. Usually just a singlet and a pair of shorts. I have seen sandals but not thongs. These people have obviously never fallen off before and when they do they won't be able to say "I'll wear gear next time" because there won't be one. Me laugh at them.
