Now on my P's

Hi all,

I went for my P's test on friday and passed.
I can't beleive that the whole day came down to the pressure of the last 4 or 5 minutes, but i'm so glad that it's all over.

We all arrived in the morning and met each other. 3 of us (including me)rode there, 3 drove. i had been told that my bike would have difficulty doing the 6 metre u-turn, so i had organised to hire one of their bikes any way.

When we met the instructor, he asked how many people had organised hire. 4 of us put up our hand. he says "some problem with paperwork, and there are only 3 available". He asked if i wanted to use my bike for the road ride, and use one the hire bikes for the carpark test once one of the other guys had finished with it....i took the offer because i knew i would be more comfy on my own bike on the road.

so with minimal practice on a completely unfamiliar bike, i managed to pass one of the most stressful tests that i have had to do in quite some time...

Congratulations Timbo! That's great news - isn't a real relief to know you won't have to go through that again!

Yeah I know the feeling mate..

I had my ZX2R for about 5-6 months and about 9,000K's and after a ride on Mario's ZX6R, upgraded within 2 weeks (Trade-In).. Haven't looked back since... The 12 months will go pretty quick though..I've got 3 weeks left and I'm full.

Well done mate.
Only 360 days to go untill you can get a big one.
Not condoning, but I know atleast three people here who got big bangers early. You'll know when you're ready.
Well done. Just remember you never stop learning.

Congrats on passing your test Timbo! I was on my P's for 18 months because my mum told me it was 3 years. She then told my Q-Ride Instructor to tell me that too! Rotten buggers, luckily I found out and have the extra power now

In regards to what Icebreaker said, i've heard the following information...

If i ride a bike on my L's that is bigger than i'm supposed to, i would have got a $74 fine. If i ride a bike on my P's that is bigger than i'm supposed to ride, i will have my P's taken off me....

i think i might stick with the bike i got till i get off my p's if that is the case
