these old pictures are just bloody fabulous. I am *pretty* sure that the photo where it looks like he is doing a 'stoppy' is nothing of the sort - I am sure it's Mick Grant at the Isle of Man, coming of Ballaugh Bridge......they got some serious air through that section ( and still do)...
That last photo is of the very rare SR1000 rode during the Swann Series and at some selected Aussie meetings during late 1979 through 1980. Some of my old
REVS magazines have articles on this bike and the races it was entered into. Gregg Hansford rode it mostly, although I am sure that Warren Willing would have got a leg over once or twice
That is a great shot of Murray Sayle and Gregg Hansford at Oran Park, coming onto the front straight......this would have been around 1977 I think, when Team Kawaski was the strongest team in Oz racing. Ron Toombs was number 63 from memory.....Gregg was 02, RIP..
