Welcome JJ good to see you are coming over to the "Green Side"

Looking at Redbook prices are

National average price - private sale* $7,000 - $8,300

Sounds like a good deal if its in good condition, the only thing I could see in the pic is a little bit of fairing damage on the RHS.

But at 5k if thats all there is sounds alright.
Nothing At All.

My younger bro has that model - it's got over 80,000km on it and still going strong.

As with all bikes, they'll last for ages as long as they are looked after.

I'd definately get help from someone who knows what to look for when purchasing any bike tho. :)

Also, by the look of the can, the black paint has done the same as on his and peeled off... He buffed his too. :)

welcome jj, m8 i have a 96 zx6r & defineatly cant complain, i havnt had it that long tho.print out 1 of these & take with u. http://www.krsc-au.com/html/bike_inspection.html alot of it is common sense, but if u follow it from top 2 bottom, by the time u get 2 the end you've been over the bike thoroughly. sounds about the right money. Do a revs check 2 see if the bike is encumbered. also check with the rta that it is not a statutory write off or repairable writeoff. Do ur homework & GO HARD SON!
Cheers

Welcome to the forum JJ. As for the bike, it looks like a decent deal to me. That is if the bike is cosmetically and mechanically sound. I love the colour scheme on the 97 ZX6R. That fairing damage you might wanna inspect a bit because it might be more than rash, there could be some costly cracks in there.

Hope you jump on the kwakka boat. Good thing you got rid of that spewzuki!
