It's obviously hard to tell from that angle, but it seems to be in good nick.
Can't really go wrong with any of the ZX6's. Like everyone else has said, take Ians checklist and you'll be fine.

And welcome.

i've got a zx6r buyers guide which was scanned from two wheels in march 2000 and goes on about what to look out for and info on the various years models.
I thought i got it from the files section in the yahoo group but i can't find it anywhere now ...

i can zip it up and email it to ya if you want or send it to one of the admins for the tech section of this site. it's 883k zipped.

hey guys i have found out from someone else who checked out the bike.. that it runs fine, except when he stopped after a few mins he noticed some oil dripping.. after further inspection he found it was coming from the gearbox/sump.. and would need a gasket or something...

i have decided if there are there problems there could be more and its probably not worth it..

what do you guys think?

Sounds like a reasonable call to me.
I'd be weighing up potential cost and talking a discounted price if I was really keen, but as you can't see it yourself and weigh up the risks I'd give it a miss.

sounds fair enough mate.. If you're going to part with your Cash, best to part with it for something you'll be happy with from the onset... There was a '00 model in vic with some fairing damage for around $6. so I'm sure you'll find something out there.. Just a matter of timing and not rushing it..
