How do I order one of the 'Qualifying' t-shirts ?? Would be very appropriate at my next (inevitable) Court appearance for speeding...

Watch for Knee is a great idea, will order one of them as well if they get the thumbs up in time. Other slogans - ' Life begins at 45......degrees' - 'If you can read this, the wife/girlfriend/lover fell off'.... or a personal favourite ( not really related to biking but heh  ' I am a bomb technician. If you see me running, try to keep up."

The world cannot have too many Dave's !!!! :D :D :D

OK quick intro required , here we go.

Long-term biker 35+ years, father of 4, have far too many motorbikes than is absolutely neccesary ( I can measure significant events in my Z1000 history by the birthdates of various offspring :? ) Just got a '05 12R, almost done 500km, very happy with it so far. Will be even happier when the RS-3 Yoshi can arrives in the next week or so ( God bless E-Bay)

Previous rides - 1980 Z1000H ( the fuel-injected model ) I have owned this bike since 1981 with a slight break in ownership ( no licence) for some years in the late '80's. It is an absolute belter, runs at 1105cc, with old z900 bodywork, black of course, and hoses Fairyblades up to the ton ( except the new 1000cc models - they actually have some poke down low :o ). The 'good' H was raced in Forgotten Era back in 2001, is good for 1'50 around the Creek, on skinny rims and no CR gearbox. . It still runs the EFI, after 25 years I am pretty confident in its longevity....

Only 33 H's imported into Oz, I own 2, with a 3rd to be collected in Qld at some stage - the second unit is the 'stock' rig, frame # 000065, engine # 000039. Also have: 1977 Z1000A1, 1975 z1A, 2 x z750's (4cyl), a really good ex-GP H2750 triple, and Z750B ( twin). Numerous RD350's/400's ( I learnt to ride on an RD350B, and have always believed that every biker needs to ride either the air-cooled or LC model in order to have truly experienced motorcycling nirvana.... A postie super-motard ( its a weapon), and a 1984 WR500 Yammie chook-chaser.

I also have a very understanding missus  You may have guessed that I really like Kawasaki's......current member ACT Z-Owners, and also service/tune and repair all Z-series bikes 1972-1985. Phew.

Will change sign-off to KwakkaDave - that should remove any confucious...

cheers

I would like to be you. Or maybe just have your Garage.

I once had 2 Kwakas at the same time. Then I had to sell one to pay for the other....

hi hemi - you can blame my dad, he never throws anything out, and passed the 'hoarding' gene onto me  Mind you it took 25 years to get the collection to where it is today. When we moved in to current home, it took me and 2 mates no less than 18 trips with a 6x4 box trailer to move the garage..

360 hemis mmmmmm I have 1 great memory of those - waaaay back in the mists of time, my (then) squeeze let me drive her mum's car - a VJ ? 360, it was a big whale call 'Chrysler by Chrysler' ?? it was a weapon, would light up in first, continue squeeling hard in to 2nd, and actually chirp the rear tyres into 3rd ( slushbox.) those were the days 8)

regards

smitty, it was a nightmare. Rained the whole time, and all the stuff was stacked up everyhere, I couldn't find anything for months, until a mate finally decided enough was enough, helped me move 1 section at a time, and we built a set of racks from one end of the dbl garage to the other, over 1/2 its width ( does that make sense ?) - floor to ceiling, just like a wreckers. I am happy in my little world help.gif

Back to the original thread ( got a bit off-track there), can I order one of the curent T-shirts via the forum ? Send a PM to the Administrator ? is there an Order form hidden somewhere ? I would like to get my filthy paws on one before they are all GAWN.

thanks Smitty, will check that out and get an order up to MadKaw shortly - I think they look great. Will never move again, thank god. Heh I like the idea of axminister, that would be very comfy. Neka - sounds like you have your shed sussed pretty well - now what I am about to tell you might sound pretty suss, but my mate in Qld swears by them. He also spends time out in the shed, and so he doesn't have to go into the house to take a piss, he has planted a particular sort of ground-cover next to the fence. Its a brick fence, and the plants are like a small shrub about 300mm tall. They are urine-tolerant.....they actually drink the stuff and grow on it !! I am not pulling your chain ( swear on a stack of bibles), he has had them out there for 3 years, has religiously pissed on them many time a night every day of the week, and there is absolutely no smell at all. I need to get some myself, will let you know the proper garden name ( botanicus interuptus ??), and you can try them out yourself.

Hey Gosling - you know any plants that thrive on used engine oil by any chance?
