I always thought Bikers were bearded, rough as guts, Harley riding pin heads with bad attutudes (use to hang with some clubbies)
and bikies rode jap bikes
I myself am a rider and wouldnt swap my sportbike for love nor money

but Half call yourself what ever you like

its the other way around mate - Bikies are the 1%'ers, and bikers ( ie you and me) are the jap-ridin' alternative 99%.

mate
most of the manufacturing..repetition engineering or
fitting/turning industry is in Adelaide or Melbourne
and yes
we drive on the same side of the road
but we drive REAL cars....*
coz its 2000km or 2 days drive from Melbourne to Brisbane
distance??? Australia is a big place
in fact..the UK fits within Victoria (where Melbourne is)

* and petrol is ½ the price of the UK here in Oz
(bloody hell... I was shocked when I was there in October
fuel is EXPENSIVE ...glad to be driving a 1.1 litre sumfing
and even happier to get back into my 5.7 V8 when I got home :) )

and beware..the Sharks....

Woman dies after Qld shark attack

A woman in her early 20s has died after a shark attack in Queensland's south-east.

The woman suffered severe injuries in the attack early Saturday afternoon near the Amity Point fishing village on North Stradbroke Island, east of Brisbane.

She was airlifted to the Princess Alexander Hospital but died late Saturday

Not too many sharks in brisbane smitty. I was down the gold coast the other day and some dolphins came right up almost to the shore line. 8)

Brisbane...good choice! :) Well for now .....if the population keeps growing it will eventually turn into another sydney :? .

It's not a bad starting point...short distance either way to sunshine & gold coasts. Plus can go over the border into Nthn NSW...some top roads down there as well.

Let us know when you move here....can organise a ride. :D

:( Just left Aussie to come and work in the sandpit...fark i miss home.
Of the three east coast cities i have spent most of my time in Brisbane. Melbourne does have its attractions but the grey weather for 8 months of the year will get you down (even Nthn Tassie has more sunny days). Sydney has great weather and harbour but only millionaires (ney billionaires) can afford to live anywhere near it. The Sydney roads and traffic will drive you mental.

Brisvegas is the place to be, I'm not a big fan of the Gold Coast (i used to just sneak down to Burleigh for a surf/swim and go home before i got robbed) but the hinterlands and Nthn NSW are spectacular. Both for bike roads and the scenery, working shift work week day rides on these deserted roads was awesome. The weather is hot and humid this time of year and if you're in the western suburbs you'll struggle for the first summer but when autum & winter comes around you'll love it. 8)

cheers
Sean

whaaaaaa
8 months...???
mate
Melbourne weather is cool and ocassionally damp for 3 months of the year
..where did you get 8 months from?

we actually get 8 months of great riding weather...March-May
and Sept-December..and we get less rain than Brisbane
and no storms or flooding like Brisbane does
and definitely NO golfball sized hailstones

cheers
