Well done you guys, I am of the opposite view with the STD can on my 12R I think it looks "phat" (meaning good) and very distinguished in appearance. Although it is not light or aerodynamic I really like the look of it for now, not like I need anymore performance out of it just yet 8)

If you like the looks and want it to sound better you can get the internals modified so it sounds good without the change of appearance...

Check out the sound of each can here:

The Viper sounds better than Micron :)

Hey yeah, I was thinking of doing a flow through mod by drilling more and bigger holes through the baffle plate, I have seen a how-to on the procedure and has been proved a extra 5 gee-gee's (if ya map it) and as this bike is relatively quiet with a stock Canister I would expect a small increase in upper revolution exhaust note as a result. I don't want a really noisy zorst, I don't need the extra power but a slightly improved note without effecting engine performance or a mapping change would be good, I cant hear this thing at warp speed all but the induction so a small zorst noise increase might help with my riding attitude/road craft IYKWIMean.

That sound ok, but you can also take it to exhaust professionals at slacks creek and let them do it.

Will I need to re-tune my 636 once I fit a Viper can on it???

More than likely, but check the manufactures or suppliers website as per recomendations. Some slip ons and very rarely full systems don't require a remap or tune but I would think from everything I have read you would be nuts if you dont get it dialed in. Just my 2 cents.
