Noticed the Ducati's no longer have AMG on their bikes...
I wondered how long that would last with Audi arriving on scene

And in glorious high definition instead of Standard Definition. How bizarre that F1 which Ten view as the premium product of the two series is in SD while Moto is being sent back to where it and F1 should be all along on ONE HD. dontknow.gif

Because it is thought that by showing it on SD it goes out to more audiences.

Blame the government for not making all the old tight arse pensioners get a HD box instead of an SD one. It should be mandatory that HD boxes only can be sold in Australia then we wouldn't have this issue.

Old tight-arse pensioners are hardly the audience that Ch10 would be looking for ?? SD boxes vs HD boxes - seriously, who still has a box on their tele ? These things will go the way of the VCR within 2 years, every TV set you buy these days has HD tuners built in. Anyone who is still watching an old TV with an SD top box should be ashamed of themselves and immediately jump in front of the first bus they see :P

The ridiculous thing really is that every punter even with an SD box, can still view OneHD anyway, even if it isn't in HD it hardly matters because they are probably using a SD box on an old tele that wouldn't support a decent HD broadcast anyway. I know on our old Panasonic (which was top of the range) - it made SFA difference in the picture quality wether we had an SD box fitted or a HD box.

Have a read of this. Interesting

http://www.throng.com.au/2010/10/the-gr ... tv-fiasco/

Remember that the channels are told that if the show/sport is deemed to be a core product by the government then they must show it on their main channel e.g. NRL , V8's
Chariot of Fury 50cc 2stroke Race bike
Team Gumby in red

Not anymore, when ONE was on channel 11 you could watch it on the CRT via SD box.

When ONE moved to channel one, you need a HD box to watch it on the CRT.

Learnt the hard way when at my oldies a while back waiting to watch GP on there CRT with a SD box only to see "HD not supported" on channel 1.

This led to a runner to the nearest pub to go and watch it.
