...and bloody hell can some of the cattle trucks/road trains produce a unique wall of air....phew.

Trucks can also be your *friend* - many years ago, in the middle of winter, I suited up at 2am to ride from here to Newcastle.......of course in July it was about -5deg outside, before the windchill.......

on the highway, I just sat about 30m behind the first truck I got to........the air coming off the back was *heaps* warmer, and basically stopped me freezing my jatz crackers off...........it was a slower ride, but big deal, at least I was warm.......

Jason's tips for oncoming trucks are spot-on........don't forget to duck your head right down as well, keep eyes on the road, but get your upper body out of the wind-blast as much as you can........
