Did they ever pass that law where any points lost on one license will come off all your licenses? Cause i've been driving (in a car) like a total sissy-girl lately for fear of losing any points and hence getting my bike learner's permit revoked.

I don't believe he has anything to say, because he probably doesn't take kindly to being called names in the same breath as being asked for help.

They do in queensland you have one licence and a heap of diferent classes hanging off it so if ya loose a few points here and there and hava suspension period it covers all the classes.

I even have to go and show cause to get my taxi endorsment back which sucks becuase i will need at least 2 jobs by the time this is over.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Not if the copper can give a reasonable ecuse for having it cancelled. And even if it is sent out, it may very well just be a caution.

Why would the copper care what he does with the ticket? I'v ehad people screw them up, tear them up and throw them away in front of me. I just make a note of what the person did with it. It's not me that gets the late fee tacked on because they can't pay the fine.

He's either posting it out because it was raining and he didn't want Neka and Chloe standing around in the rain whilst he wrote out the entire ticket, he's going to get it cancelled or he's going to write it up as a caution and post it out to make him sweat.

I have posted out many tickets for various reasons.

Shame you got done doing something relatively minor, considering your colourful activities of the past Nath.
I think your Walking for 12 months though & YOU really dont want to get caught riding unlicenced. It will drag on for years & years.

Nath,
sucks big time mate

Maybe go to court and say that because the rain was so bad that your concentration was on maintaining station with the vehicles around you.

Fark me Nath, with your luck, when YOUR boat comes in, you're likely to be at the friggin' airport !

Keep smiling mate (makes the buggers wonder what you've been up to )

Taking the Dickheads out of the equation Aardvark, the officer in question is making an estimate on the speed is he not???? He would need a certain distance and time to make a reasonably accurate assesment of an average speed would he not in order to issue an infringement???????

What I am getting at, is that unless it was a cold hard got you on the radar, or here is a lovely portait of you here on film, then it could be argued in front of a magistrate that perhaps the officer in question may have not made a completely accurate assessment and therefore it could be challenged.

A good friend recently had this happen, and he challenged it in court and provided enough reasonable doubt to be let off!

Do the police even give tickets without a solid reading any more?

Obviously if he was behind you and matched speed that is one thing, but accelerating up to being behind you doesnt seem like an accurate way of getting a reading and would be able to be contested in court...

On top of that would be the fact that the policeman probably doesnt want to spend half a day in the courtroom for a minor offence (unless you were being a smartass neka.... in which case he would probably enjoy watchin you squirm)

I have been let off two tickets where the policeman didnt get a radar reading and I was extremely polite (as you should be) to the police person...
