I used to ride a vespa, and I'd often wave to all the sprotbike riders, but the ignored me, so I stopped making an effort..then, THEY start waving at ME!! :? :x

I didn't wave back either.

A mate just got himself a Vulcan and I asked if he now got nods of Harley riders since he is on a cruiser. He said they're pretty quick to check out the bike when they spot it but are equally as quick to snap their neck back the other way when they notice it ain't a HD. Manages to give him a chuckle each time it happens though. I don't think they realise how much enjoyment we get when they don't nod.

I must admit I do get the odd one here and there and am quite chuffed when they do. Mind you Im on a 250, so Im kinda chuffed when anyone nods me

I think so mate

I have a golden rule when it comes to hosing Harley's at lights ( or stop signs, or highways, or fuckin' anywhere really......)

JUST DO IT !!! in fact its even more fun to belt past them on the inside, changing gear, within earshot, and watch the wankers jump out of their seats.....

*Most Embarrasing Moment* - when I took the 12 in for its 6k service, the bastards at the shop gave me a Team Soichiro *cruiser* ( 750 something or other)......  well, as soon as I rode out the yard, a couple of Hardly Capables coming the other way waved at me !!! so did some other tosser on a VN1500 !!  FFS I couldn't get home fast enough (literally), and park the shitter in the shed.........btw I didn't wave at either of them, in case they recognised my Toecutter lid

must be embarassing to be be blown away by a bike that has about a third the capacity :D

I'm so not sorry

I was soooo embarrased, almost dropped the damn thing riding out the yard, looking for a footrest and gearlever in a 'normal' position, of course forgetting that the damn things are up near the front axle somewhere......

they boys from the shop were *caning* themselves as I wobbled out the yard..........jeez it was a miserable heap of crap........

then 2 harley riders waved....... :x :x my god, get me out of here..........

Are you sure it was a Rocket III Cheeks? Those things leave most sports bikes behind... :(

i doubt very much a stock rocket III would keep up with any late model sport bike

sure its 2300cc, but it still only makes about 140hp, yet it weighs 320kg dry... its torque curve wont help that much
