What's your source on this? I ask because this is the first I've ever heard of it.

How's it work? One cop car, with both the camera and the transmitter through which to query the Urban Services database once the OCR results come through? Two cars, one with the OCR system, another pulling vehicles over a couple of hundred metres down the road? A camouflaged box in the bushes.

subsequent testing showed that her 120Y heap of shit was barely capable of 124? kmh...........she maintained that at no time did her speed exceed 100kmh.......speeding fine was dismissed on appeal.......

and what about that Snowgum that was clocked at 88 in a 60 zone near Dandenong, on the Princes Highway ????????? or the Telecom box on Springvale Road ??????

Speed detection devices are not infallible. They make mistakes, and honest people who do nothing wrong, but still get booked ( and it happens far too regularly to be dismissed willy-nilly), have every reason to get the shits with being booked..........
