mate i'm doing roughly 57 hours a week... i get home.. spend 5 mins on the net, cook dinner and basically go to sleep on my feet..

the good thing is i get to ride the bike everyday (all 3.66km each way) and really cheap bike stuff

Oh yeah and learn... bike gear is soooo complicated... :shock:

we have about 16 different types of textile jackets as an example.. and they're all designed with different features.. And work does a lot of dirt bike stuff.. and i know absolutely nothing about them...
so if you want sump bolts for your 02 yz250F don't ask me

or your tt or wr...
and the differences between tech8's and m10's? i have no idea yet but if you have enough money to buy em i'll help there

but i know rjays use kevlar stitching, an arai can be basically made to order, alpinestar boots are awesome, and i've been pronouncing akrapovich wrong

Well I am here at work, wishing I was at DP. Its really windy, but not raining at all. Hope it goes well out there, keep at least one wheel on the deck eh?

BTW Used_to, I don't spose you will be at QR on Tuesday at all?

I guess I'll have to give some private lessons to those who cant pronounce AKRAPOVIC...

I suggest u ask someone from ex-Yugoslavia to tell you how its pronounced...

In serbian language the rule is "you say it how its written"

Its hard to explain...

Oh yeah, I just remembered: I enquired about the akra pipe at the teammoto honda and when I said akrapovic the chick at the counter looked at me stupid and corrected me on my pronunciation...

As an aside, I always find it funny when people want to correct me on pronounciation. Usually it is from someone who doesn't know anyway.

When I was working at the pig factory, I was talking to the GM about "kassler" which is a type of cured - err, pig meat, funnily enough. I pronounce it the correct, German way - kass (as in "lass") - ler. He tried to correct me with KAYS-ler. Um, my father is Bavarian, I think I know how it is pronounced you filthy English Swine!...ok, I thought that and didn't say it, but I think my facial expressions got the same point across...

The guy from akrapovic made me say it about ten times and i still don't think i got it correct

but their website is way cool

My Dad's side of the family come from a line of Yugo gypsies. Sounds exotic. Doesn't it?

Anyway, they didn't have anything useful to add to this debate, so I checked the Akra website.

"The Akrapovic trademark (pronounced "Ack-rap'-o-vich") experienced a huge surge onto world markets"

My understanding is that the o in Akrapovic is a short o. As in the o in the word port.

Its funny how someone can reffer to refugees from Yugo as gypsies. Well I'm a refugee from Yugo and let me tell I'm no gypsy.

No offence but the real gypsies in Yugo in fact have nothing to do with with the nationalities that once formed Yugo as a country. Gypsies are infact all over Europe.

All I can remeber gypsies in Yugo as very, I mean very poor people who begged for money on the streets, steal or turned to crime such as smuggling children to Italy. Very similar to albanians if you know what they are like...

Might have well been, regardless of which war you might have in mind. Nobody over there has much time for them in the same vein as we here do with Aboriginals, and during times of conflict in the region, beating up on Gypsies was like a common pastime for everyone formally involved.

True that,

The only thing is that they usually run away first, as they have nothing to defend anyway.

As there is no winner in a war, I guess they are the smart ones to flee to neighbouring countries and avoid the pointless killings.
