You Ford blokes are dreamers.

315Kw at the flywheel = at best about 242 at the wheels. The best you'll get with a tune is about 260 at the wheels. Spend another 10k on heads, exhaust, cam, you might get to 300 at the wheels.......and then my naturally aspirated 383 2002 VY Commy will still leave you in tyre smoke :P

Love Holden v Ford Banter :)

Nice car though Mal. My neighbours got a FPV GS with the Supercharged V8 and he loves it. I do like the sound of them with the exhaust opened up. It looks really good in my mirrors too :D

Well Glenbo,my current BA xr8 rated 260 as they all are, before herrord got to it was 195.9 kw at 202 ks with max tourqe 456 NM @154 ks.
After intake and sct flash tune 216.2 KW @190 ks and max torque 496 NM @160 ks.This also doesn't take into account where the tourqe is and guess what its main increase is mid range without loosing any bottom end.Motive force what ever that is went from 4170.1N@154 ks to 4540.2N @162 Ks.That should give you crummydoore guys a formula to work out the real rear wheel power with minor mods.Yet to see any crummydore get near me from a standing start. :P
And thanks I am really hanging out to see it let alone get it,shes going to a little bright in orange but hey the XR in red is also a little bright. :D

All sounds good fun mate. The 383 currently has 320 at the wheels with a pretty mild cam. Not a lot more than before it was stroked when it had about 305 with Heads, Exhaust, cam. The big diff is in Torque where it pushes 650Nm's. The engine was built by Trick and Mansweto who do some nice work. The crystal ball says there's a 6/71 blower in it's future somewhere. Now that will be interesting.

Well done, having had XR6 tickfirds to the turbo (best bang for buck) and xr8s I was thinking of waiting for the last of falcon and getting the gt or gtp that was to come out, but alas I got a Ranger to play in the mud.

Enjoy you lucky bastard

Mal you will need a couple of bags of cement in the back (as we used to do back in the day) to do any decent standing times.

That beast will light up the rear tyres before you can blink when you open it up, especially in the wet.

Well just an update since placing a deposit on the last of the pursuit utes to be made on april 9th, there are still no pictures of it or the last of the Gt car.Despite being sold out Ford are saying stay tuned to our facebook page for teaser pics,in other words no full pics.Delivery is still also to be confirmed although I have a build number the build date is yet to be confirmed. Can you imagine laying down a heap of cash and still not seeing what you bought or when you will get it 6 weeks after putting down a deposit. There is no way I am pulling out but bloody hell it is frustrating, they are still claiming that it will be worth the wait and it will be fantastic.

Checked on the ford website and was really excited when you mentioned tyre tassles just to be dissapointed as they are only available for holden utes.

Dude in my building bought one of the last F6 utes March last year. I was talking to him early this year and he said he's struggling to drive it now because when he bought it he didn't know they'd stop making them right after and now he doesn't know if he should just put it away and wait for it appreciate in value or flog the thing and never look back.

What a brilliant problem to have... :kuda:
