Hit and run

Postby Colette » Wed Sep 14, 2005 5:11 pm

It's bad enough that he hit and killed the rider, but to just run off is unforgiveable. :x

BRISBANE, Sept 13 - A motorcyclist died in a hit and run incident and a man was killed when his truck hit a tree in separate accidents in south-east Queensland overnight.
Police said a 34-year-old man died at the scene after his motorcycle was struck from behind by a ute in Calamvale, in Brisbane's south, about 10pm (AEST) yesterday.
A spokeswoman said it appeared the ute travelled a short distance from the scene before the driver got out and ran away.
Police are still searching for the driver.

Yeah it is a shocking thing, RIP dude.
It has been posted on a few other forums and the common remark has been "I hope they catch the -insert expletive- and he gets a butt reaming when he/they go inside".
Apparently two young fellas abandoned the ute at a servo and the police are viewing the video. Silly little shits, they also say empty alcoholic bottles as well as half finished ones were found in the vehicle. Won't be long and they will be nabbed.

i know this sucks the great big fat one, but with a good lawyer, this bloke has every chance of getting of VERY lightly.

dont know if any of you guys heard, but not too long ago a cyclist was hit and killed by a lawyer. said lawyer had been drinking that afternoon (it could never be proven how much tho) and decided to just go home after the accident. he turned himself in 8 hours later and said he 'panicked'. ended up getting a $1200 fine for the negligent driving (or something) and $800 for the hit and run. each fine carried a 12 month suspension but the nice judge said he could serve both suspensions at the same time instead of one after the other

its a farked world we live in, but it looks like your better off running and hiding than staying and copping a bretho if you've had a drink or two  and the way the courts work, it also look like you'll fare better than someone that speeds and DOESNT have an accident half the time

buuuuuuut with all luck, this bloke wont make it to court. i know if that was a mater of mine, i'd make sure the fekker didn't get that far....

Condolences to his family & friends.

Worst possible accident for a scoot rider, is too be hit from behind by a car. You have more chance surviving a T bone.

I will decline from pulling out my soap box at this time, but i feel the anger & disappointment none the less.

That really sux. RIP dude.

When you have taken another's life in poor circumstances such as these surely your own should be at least unpleasant for a substanitial amount of time. If these dudes walk then fuck the system. Hell fuck it anyway.

She s appealing against the severity of her sentence incidentally, 6year term, minimum 4 was the sentence. Media interviewd the father, Tom Lording after the trial, asked if he thught the sentence was a bit harsh. "My son got life".

The MRA has a meeting this Saturday I believe in relation to the hit and run that happened here in Melbourne a week or two ago as well.

As everyone else has said, string the bastards up by their knackers, in the case of females, then nipples I guess.

It's no different to any other murder, just because you're behind a wheel rather than behind a gun, it's still friggin murder!

Rant over for now.
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"
