Twin headlights, one is on.. one is off...

Postby Stereo » Fri Aug 12, 2005 11:54 am

Ok, so I have this awesome looking bike.... it has these RAD twin headlights.... but only one is on...

Now, I know this is normal...

Is there any cheap way to make both headlights be on when you dont have your high beams on?

Two reasons... One... it looks cooler.... two... I am sick of concerned individuals pointing out that one of my headlights is broken...

(I have to admit that I have not done ANY research to find out if it is feasible.. or if you can just put a normal bulb in there or anything)...

That looks to be a 04/03 6r you have there, I know it can be done I am sure i read something on kawiforums you might have to go there and search a little.... http://www.zx6r.com I know what your on about I had some fun with one of those silly stick weilding trafic control people one day turning it on and off for him. :D
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

As I understand it, the reflectors are different, and basically it isn't really a good idea unless you like spending lots of money/time/both for no apparent reason...

You would need to alter the wiring to accomodate two hi & lo beam systems, rather than the one hi/lo & hi that you have now.

Not impossible, but a bit of mucking around.

You need an auto electrician as a mate!

I am still happy to have only the one light go to high beam.... I just want to have both have low beam....
