(Syd) Dremel wanted to borrow.?

Postby MadKaw » Tue Feb 14, 2006 4:15 pm

Does anyone not to far away from Windsor happen to have a dremel or similar rotary tool that they could lend to me...

I'm doing a minor throttle mod...

How soon do you want it?
I have a tricky dicky's dremel clone and multipeice kit that your welcome to borrow. If you want it after Saturday i can bring it then, or i can make a trip up beforehand if your desperately keen.

Excellent, i'll bring them to yours on Saturday then.

r.e. the dynojet kit, I'll be doing the re-assembly tonight after the wining and dining of Valentines day ;-).

Shell will be glued to the telly watching the cricket, and i'll be hiding in the garage putting the bastard back together *grin*.

If i dont get it together tonight, i still have a couple more evenings to sort it out.

Just curious - but what kind of throttle mod are you doing with a dremel?

Making it a quick action throttle...
I need to mill a small nib out of the housing to get the larger hub into it...

Dave
I turned up a C shaped spacer that clipped over the existing hub that increased the Dia for Mick down here for his 955 daytona to make his a quicker action. Worked great last time I asked him

So you got one.??
No rush, I had the bike serviced today and was going to do it while it was apart. To get the extra throttle cable length required I have to pull the airbox off so its a bit of a job...
I'll text you when I need it, might save Mike draggin one over...
Could be a good project for the BBQ - Quick action throttle mods 101.. :-)

....although working on your bike when there's piss involved could be dangerous. I once put my GSXR back together the night before a track day after many bevvy's. Result.. Fairing bolts gooooooone after a couple of sessions
