The 'fun' zone

Postby wazza1234 » Fri Feb 10, 2006 4:44 pm

Riding home today was asking for some speed (no wind for the first time in days, bike running nice etc). Despite ***only*** riding a 250 Once 130km/h is hit on my boring ride too and from work, the corners begin to get fun...so I classify this as the start of the fun zone. Bear in mind that the ride to work is the most boring monotinous 35km stretch of road in Australia.

Just wonding where peoples everyday stretch of road becomes fun, do you need to speed to get to the fun zone and should they design roads to create more fun spots.

Note: I dont speed, if anyone asks I am a lying bastard who always sticks at or below the legal limit.

to get to night shift for my old job, i used to have to go cross country to avoid the crappy m5 onramp congestion and merge in after the tunnel.

This is a mix of 50 & 60 zones, twisting its way around a hill, taken in the car they are fun at 60, on the bike the fun zone kicks in at 70, but its a rip snorter when doing it at 110 (mind you i havent done that very often, just once or twice, usually im doing 60-80 the whole way thru.

Now i work in the city and have freeway slabbing & play dodgem with cars, that is when im not taking the f##&$($$@@@@#$&*ing trains to work.

If it hurts, you aren't doing it right.
