[NSW] Westlink M7

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the new M7 is free for bikes! I wish all our motorways were toll free for bikes like they are in Vic, but at least we have one!

This is where I found the information:

http://www.roam.com.au/resources/file/4 ... 512103.pdf

Is the fee they are referring to the whole fee or just the 75c? Maybe my joy is going to be shortlived... :(

The more I look into this I think I may be mistaken after all, sorry people. Seems NSW is to remain bike unfriendly....

If that's the case Kelly (and i'm not arguing) then that is directly opposite to the way it is for us Mexicans for the car anywyas, we pay a higher fee if we have no tag.

thats the way it reads we only pay the toll, which is the same as the toll with a tag, but u still pay eth $2 a months or $1 a month for teh processing fees etc...

all we are saving is 75c a trip

if you have a car with an "e" tag you can nominate your bike on the account and they bill it without charging the usual fee(s).

the other way, as i understand it (if you dont have a car account and you use the motorway) is, they send you a bill for the toll only, cars get hit with the other fees already mentioned.

Either that or a servo on the number plate to flip it up out of site near the cameras. I have already seen one of these in use by someone from another forum.

here, here....

It will never happen though, people are too soft.
We pay too much for petty too, but people just put up with it.

We all should just take our plates off for a day, or a week.

remember a couple months ago when the media was going on about the cost of petrol? its still the same price now and no one is saying sh!t
same with the Cross city tunnel - heaps of hype then nothing....

we really should do something about a toll protest. maybe we could start it here? pick a date and location and spread the word. Make sure its a week day though.
